HOW TO CHANGE YOUR MINDSET IN 4 STEPS

Did you know your mindset is the key ingredient that assists you in negotiating your life's circumstances. The mind is everything and our mindset influences everything. We think around 60,000 thoughts a day. Of these thoughts, 95% are the SAME thoughts repeated everyday. It would make sense to therefore ensure our mindsets are healthy so that this series of daily repetitive thoughts are impacting us positively. When you realise how pivotal your mindset is to your everyday life, you might realise you need to make some changes!
I have put together 4 steps you can start implementing TODAY, outlining
HOW TO CHANGE YOUR MINDSET:
1. BABY STEPS
You don’t need to fix everything all at once. Humans are often waiting for the quick fix or are impatient and try to fix everything at the same time. Trying to change too much simultaneously can become overwhelming and doing this will often lead to circling the same bad habits that you were trying to change. ONE STEP AT A TIME is the best way of ensuring the changes are more permanent and gives them time to become habit. If you want to change your negative thought patterns, start with changing 1 first. Celebrate yourself when you know longer think that 1 negative thought. Release yourself from the pressure of having to have everything perfect at all times.
2. EVERYDAY WRITE DOWN 10 THINGS YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR
A grateful attitude is one of the quickest ways to change the focus of all things negative. Making it a conscious habit to express appreciation for your life and the things in your life is an excellent way to rewire the brain. I dare you, try this for 1 month as see if your mindset has changed!
3. Everyday write down 10 things you like about yourself
Seeing the best in yourself will help you appreciate yourself and your self worth. Loving yourself also empowers you to make healthier choices. From eating healthy, exercise and quality sleep, the more you love who you are the more you want to take care of yourself. If you can’t think of 10 things you like about yourself, start with 3. Work on getting to 10 daily good thoughts about yourself - remember… baby steps.
4.Don’t fear failure
Don’t beat yourself up if you have a day where things didn't go as you planned or you reverted back to old negative habits. Tomorrow is a gift where you can try again. Failure never feels good at the time, but failure is where we can learn some of our greatest life lessons. Get back up and try again tomorrow. You got this!
